I thought those were only legend - like a can of compression or a bucket of prop wash.

No fish can swim fast enough to get in my G-3 Ron!!!

G-3s are for being the fastest at getting there first!!

Here is pic of my first one new in 1960 and the one I have now!

My friend Bill Wehunt driving my G-3 this day as I had just come home from a 9-week stay in the hospital and could not yet drive a boat. I am well and driving nowadays!!!

Was that clear windscreen on your G-3 factory ? Mine isn't on the boat as the frame rotted and I have to figure out a remount but it's black lexan. Did a former owner fab it or is it an original option ?

Windshield on the older G-3 is factory original.

Windshield on the one I have now with big Merc was built by a friend who kept heating plexiglass over the kitchen stove and bending it, go out and sit it on the boat, then go heat and bend somemore til he got it right!!!!!

I wasn't sure I was going to use it as it's not original but the Wife is already complaining about her hair and it's not even close to getting wet ! Looks like I'm gonna use it now. How did you attach yours ? The frame on mine rotted so bad I can't tell what it was before.

Firstglassproject:

For what it is worth, you will be hard pressed to find any company that can make the EXACT G-3 windshield as it came from the factory when they were built. A company by the name of "Taylor Winshields" made the original G-3 windshields and they are out of business. There was a company in Michigan that tried to make them but in my opinion they DO NOT look or fit well at all! I know three (3) other 1959-1960 G-3 owners that used the Michigan company and they were all VERY disappointed in the fit and finish of those windshields.
The original G-3 windshield has a slight "bow" from top to bottom and the corners have a unique bend to them.

Our one-family owned G-3 does have the original windshield but it has two small cracks on the bottom. Here is a couple of photos for you:
