TOPIC: Hammondsport details

Hammondsport details 13 years 9 months ago #26741

I got this email from Terry today:

Frank
We had a very productive meeting last night. Here's the latest scoop.
Registration fees: $35 in the water, $15 for land display, $10 to run the regatta.
Sat. dinner $35. Dinner will be in the Glenn Curtiss Museum--a wonderful venue with lots to see. (airplanes, motorcycles, boats, and lots of other neat stuff)
Sunday Regatta will be three separate heats:
10:15 Wooden boats will run a 2-lap short course.(we think it will be about a 6 mile run)
10:45 Classic Glass will run the 2-lap short course.
11:15 Those wishing to will run the traditional long course from Hammondsport to Bluff Point and back (about 20 miles)

There will be several classes within each heat and all get a bottle of wine and trophy or medallion. We're trying to reestablish the Regatta and are excited about the changes.
Terry

It will be a while till registration forms are available (all this stuff is "hot off the press"), but I will keep everyone posted.

I hope some of you can join us at dinner. Last year's was a hoot!

Frank
