TOPIC: identification perhaps?

identification perhaps? 10 years 2 months ago #97527

So while at the lake this past weekend my wife and I ran across a couple of boats at a salvage yard, one of which is a pretty simple aluminum boat we both liked. It is about 14 ft. No markings at all. I didn't get many pics so I can't expect a good identification but maybe someone will know the Era from which it came?

I agree - the "V" bow plate , the polished aluminum bow piece on the rub rail connection and the lapstrake look does say Starcraft;

I'd guess Starcraft Nova, Falcon, Jet or JetStar.

I think the Nova & Falcon both came in that orange color from the factory. But missing the stern Logos and the added bow docking lights, it could very likely have been repainted.

It should have had a plate at the helm next to the remote control box and may or may not have a HIN on the transom. But they too may have been removed if there was extensive previous work.

The 4 Starcrafts I mentioned were all offered in about 14ftr's. The Jet/JetStar were likely to be more like 14' 6" or 14' 9". Not 100% sure on the Nova's available lengths, but 14ft +/- and the Falcon was too.

Awesome! Thanks for the help. I suppose if/when I buy the boat the hull number will solve the mystery for good.
