TOPIC: Alumacraft 14FD Plus

Alumacraft 14FD Plus 10 years 9 months ago #91402

I was looking for a 14f for the grandkids and found this. Checked the S/N with AC and they ID'd it as a 1958 FD14. They said they listed the front deck and remote options in '58 but had no listing for the seat backs and cushions. One of the backrest cushions has the AC logo as well as the center of the steel steering wheel. Was looking for a 57 or 58 35hp Johnson but found a nice 57 Lark and bought it. Also, bought two 30hp 56's one is a Javelin with all the chrome in pretty good shape. Plan to restore the Javelin with a tiller and hang it when the boat's in fishing mode and maybe use the Lark on the runabout config.

Has anyone seen the backrest and cushion combo anywhere???

Jim

Thanks for the welcome! The boat is in Minocqua and I hope to have a vintage motor on it in time for the Tomahawk get together. I'm still looking for info on the seat back brackets that hang on the gunnels. They came with the AC cushions but they don't show in any brochures/price list. I'll post a pic when able.
