TOPIC: "Can anyone id this aluminum tunnel hull boat?

There is an old posting by this title from 2 years ago. I replied to it last year. I was hoping to find anyone with information on this boat. This is my fathers boat. Please look at the old posting to see pics.

I entered roby-hutton springfield mo into google, and found this:

The patent number is incomplete, but I found another patent by Horrace H Roby and assigned to Roby-Hutton:

A one off perhaps!

If you go to the main forum you'll find a "BOAT AUCTION - Date Set" listing. The boat in the photos here is listed on the Auction Website. It is from the estate of Norman York, who owned the boat. His son Terry is managing the estate. It'll be interesting to see how much this boat brings. It is certainly unique enough and Norman was quite proud of it. Norman had a good eye for finding things that were different with a slant towards the weird. I hope that it finds a good home.

I found another pic of the one in the auction -(titled Stbqrtr), a pic with description from a 1958 magazine, and a pic of one named "SEA-DOO-DOO" that I think was at one of KevFins early shows, 90s maybe.
