The "Bad Trash Can". Buddy o' mine's boat. Gotta kinda neat paint job. Oscar the grouch emerging from a garbage can surrounded by empty beer cans ...

I'm guessin' it's maybe 18-19ft? He claims it's a Mirro-Craft. Can't say for sure. Anybody got any literature on these boats?

Thanks!

Nope, no literature for MirroCraft in my collection. You may want to try the company's website. MirroCraft boats are still made. I think the corporate name is Northport. They are located at Gillett, WI.

I guess I'd be the mirrocraft guy,,, my dad bought a 1960 new, I redid it 3 years ago.
Original dealer brochure + cost price were forwarded to original fiber glassics site in high resolution. Another poster sent me some early [1964 iIrc] info.

I'll attach a few lower res photos, Ive been meanning to resubmit the scans, but havn't had a chance...

Well, I can't even find the other scans right now,,,but certainly no cuddies back to 1964,,, certainly not much that looks like your friends boat,,,

As for more recent info, I can tell you, I didn't come up with much, from a variety of online sources, but iBoats does have a mirro section on their forum. [Sorry, if I'm not supposed to mention other websites on FG, not sure of those rules.] You may try posting over there for info... -jim

One of my boats is a MirroCraft 14-ft Resorter that I bought new in CA in 1967. It cost $251.60. It came with a 1967 Evinrude 9.5-hp OB that cost $350.00. I still have the sales receipt, but can not find the boat brochure. The boat is riveted, not welded, and has three seats with flotation below them. Both boat and motor are still in great shape. I use them for fishing in small waters, plus I use the Evinrude as a "get-home" motor on my larger boat.

Thanks guys. 'Preciate the replys. I'll try to get some close up shots of the hull. It is riveted. He says they're all loose btw. Calls it a self rinsing bilge ...?

I contacted my sales rep @ Mirro & he sent me a scan of the 1989 catalog. It contains a 20' cuddy. The boat pictured does not have windows on the cabin sides. Maybe an option or maybe a different year.

It could be a Starcraft or Sylvan too. They had something similar.

If it's a Mirro, the hull number will begin with MRR.......

Hey thanks Jim. 'Preciate it! Not sure this thing's 20 foot though?

Oh well I need to stop over at his place anyway. Poor sob just had a hip replaced.

Will try to find a HIN on the boat while I'm at it.
