'68 Starcraft Star Trek. '68 Merc 500 9 years 5 months ago #110451

I am new to the forum but I have gained so much information already from this site. It never ceases to amaze me how much knowledge and information there is on this site, plus good folks willing to share that knowledge with us lesser informed.
I found this 68 Starcraft, it was completely rotted out and I was told the motor was no good. Well as you can see by the short video it runs like a champ. It just needed a little care. The original layout, center console, was changed way back so new flooring, decking and new carpet was needed. in the process of final seat and wiring now once complete I will share some photos. I am just blown away how well this motor runs......can't wait to finish and go fishing...........not bad for a $200 investment

Pigtrail23,

WELCOME ABOARD. = Sounds like a GOOD "waste of 200 bucks".
(My lady always says, "You paid HOW MUCH for that greasy/rusty junk???")

Probably the best $200 you'll ever waste.

Satx, you get away too easy. The admiral's favorite comment started when a 57 Herters (fins) followed me home and she called it a POS

63 Sabre,

She would likely say a lot more IF her experience hadn't been that I've sold any number of pieces of "greasy/rusty junk" for 3/4/5 times what I paid for it.
(The day, a couple of years ago, that I pulled an old bassboat home, washed it & sold it for 3X what I paid for it before dark, pretty much stopped the screaming/moaning/whining.)

These days, she just "rolls her eyes".

yours, satx
