Another fine presentation! I'd throw the camera overboard if it continues with the smudge.

I really liked when you were heading for that bridge.

Thanks guys, I should have used the preview, I mixed some gas before mounting the GoPro so it must have been on my hands.
That bridge leads to Rosario Straigt which is pretty much open ocean, the current under the bridge can be 7 knots, gets pretty rough, I am waiting till I am sure my boat is reliable and the tide is coming in before I go under the bridge. I have to cross that bridge over to Whidbey Island where the marina is, I think I need a kicker motor like 7 hp as a backup but it's running great now.

Travis,

I have a GoPro Hero 3 Silver, it was only a couple hundred bucks, I added a suction mount and just bought a bar grip for it. I bought it for my BMW when I was racing autocross, great tool for seeing what I was doing instead of how it felt. I want to put the bar grip on my sailboat to help with racing and sail trim, have to find a way to record boat speed in the video.
Then I used Microsoft Movie Maker to edit the video, it's actually a pretty good program, I used to use Adobe but the version I have is too old.
It also does timelapse for capturing a longer trip.
The setup is suction grip, horizontal mount to match the horizon, then vertical for up down. Then a quick mount on the camera case so I can point it forward or quick point it rear with just a snap.

The silver also has wifi built in so I can use my phone to preview and adjust it before recording.

Steve

Here is a link to the history of Wacanda. I have a faded blue beauty that I am bringing back to new. The cool thing about the Husky model is they had the inset transom and glass windshields (produced by Ford). Mine is tinted. www.freewebs.com/wacandaboats/

There is a Wacanda Husky that has been sitting open to to the elements about 2 miles from my cabin in Newport Washington (5 miles from Idaho on Highway 2, 44 miles north of Spokane). It has a glass windshield and a black merc on the back. It has been there for years. The next time I go over I will get the phone number from the owner and forward. You may be able to get it for cheap.

That is it in the middle of this screen shot.
