Looks like it could be an interesting proposal. I can contribute since I'm on the road quite a bit.

Maybe not a real classic but it is a Pontoon stern wheeler that's been sitting for years.

sounds good, hopefully if I get time to make it up that way, I'll get some pictures of a ravine full of bare hulls to post here too. and I will also try to get a better pic of the red fish too.

Not a pasture - but more like a corral for old cars, trucks, and boats.

cool...I'm likein this....I can see a whitehouse, a 59 glastron, and a 58/59 red fish

Re:classics out to pasture/sightings 10 years 4 months ago #94844

Yeah - that Redfish has a hard top sitting in it too, you can barely see it (white). The owner is convinced everything is worth 20 times what market is - thus, all is rotting away in the California sun. I keep checking in from time to time though.....

Not a "barn find", it's a "bar find", outside a bar down by the river...

lol Thanks, if Catalina61 says I can pursue this one, I might just do that..

But I must say,,,, I might need to go see the head dr. I keep going at the rate I am going, I'm going to need a big forklift and some boat shelves to stack them on... Been biten really really hard by the fiberglassic hoarding bug.. in Iowa where I am from, these old classics are very scarce, so moving to Wisconsin, having plenty of space to store them and seeing them regularly, well, yeah, I may be a tad out of control... =)

That BellBoy has been sitting there (south-side of Hwy. 210 on west edge of town of Battle Lake, MN)
A couple of years ago it was listed on Craigs List for $2500.00, so you're all welcome to pursue it all you want!

The teenee trailer under the FireFlite would have value, as would any glastron cleats on the cap.

Shake, where are you from in Iowa? I am in Arnolds Park and love to see old boats. I have a few in process as we speak. Love seeing a lot of these getting restored to live another day. I photgraphed our old 1960 Glasscraft Contessa Hardtop. Top was off of it and the floor was gone. All of the cool Airguide Gauge Cluster was roached. My brother and I hoisted the old hardtop back on it as it was flimsy and broken. Interesting, but the hardtop was actually built by Thompson Boats in Seattle Washington. Need to confer with Andreas on that bit of information. Either that or the bottom aluminum hardware frame on where the top attached to the hull was supplied by Thompson.

Hornet, I'm originally from Cedar Rapids, IA. I get back there quite often. not to sure where arnolds park is...

Frog, Satx, those lines on that bell boy sure are nice, really wishing I had one just like it, kinda looks like a mini chris craft roamer... Maybe that 2500 price tag is a retainer for me to give me some time to take care of some other projects and stuff till I can make it that way and nab it... depending on the condition of the structure of the boat......

I'll take the bow light and there was someone around here looking for the windshield. Actually, there may be some parts on that worth money. I just bought a couple of castings on eBay to replace a broken one on my Seaflite. Cost the same as having new ones made, but I'd rather have to original.

Nautilus, the boat on the far right, with the one piece windshield..What brand is that? There's one in my area, I like the look of it.

I think the 1959 Lido is the boat on the far LEFT of the pix, in front of the OMC twin hull boat under a brown tarp, not the far right:

Pretty sure that blue & white hull w/ the angular flat glass windshield (on the far right) isn't a 1959......

Correct?
