Chris:

Waterwings is giving you good advice on "letting this issue go."
You are my friend, and I don't want to see you get banned here. ;)

BTW,...on a better note, Al Wilson said to tell you that there is a very nice 1960 G-3 for sale in the miamicraigslist. He said it is
a "turn-key" G-3 like you are looking for.

1960RedG-3, thanks but... I really do not know what karma is but after 717 posts I am at minus 2. I really do not think that means that I am liked.

Cool race boat. Let us know when and where the article is published.

Well Chris, I like you! ;) We have met and boated together, specifically, last year at Falls Lake, N.C. when I invited you to come and drive our 1960 Glasspar G-3.

For what it is worth, I have seen and been hit by the "Karma Battles" before too. Not here but over on the FGC site when it was part of the classicglasspars site. And I know you are aware who was hitting me pretty hard over there!

Anyway,...I was wondering if you are even interested in getting a
"turn-key" Glasspar G-3 anymore as the one on the miamicraigslist looks very nice.

Chris:

Here is the link to that very nice G-3 I was telling you about:

fortmyers.craigslist.org/lee/boa/4467230077.html

This is one of the nicer G-3's I have seen in awhile.

Chris,
I believe you mean well, I have read your posts and see what you are trying to say. It seems you need to speak with "Pollyanna" verses or you will be NOT liked. I like you for bringing up topics for discussion, but your verses are not taken well by others. I have met you and also think that you mean the best for this hobby. Forget about the karma thing, I think that feature should be removed from this type of forum, it's childish. Please keep promoting our fiberglassics boats for recognition at classic boat shows.

Thank you,
Mike

yep Chris, don't sweat it, I do my best to stay neutral in most or all situations in life, and if and when I offend others, it's not intentional, so I state that I didn't mean to offend anyone and I immediately end the topic and move on. You can't please everyone so don't sweat it, Water off a ducks back, life's too damn short for drama.

Thanks, fellas. The Chesapeake Bay Chapter Show and Festival is getting close.

My writing for PropTalk is also taking time.

For instance, I am at a scale model R/C Boat Event this weekend.

That's Cool Greg, I've dabbled in model boat building in the past, I'd love to get back into scratch building them again, sadly all my models i built and all my tools and plans where lost in unforeseen circumstances....

I know this is not what you are talking about but I found this on the Allegheny River. I'm thinking about putting it back together. Someone put a lot of work into this.

Cool I might try my hand at something like that but in a Walking stick. I've been on this forum some too. They have my interest sparked and I think I can learn something from them. walkingstickforum.com/

lol Greg, you didn't change the subject, the subject has just spun off from the RC article, IMO all's fair when spinning off the author's flow of things here..

Robert, that walking stick site is cool, reminds me of a double dragon headed cannon igniter I made once..

The Chesapeake Bay Chapter Antique and Classic Boat Festival for the seven years or so that I have been involved has always been a 3-day "Festival" of all aspects of boating centered around, but not limited to classic boating.

The festival includes display and R/C model boats. It also includes a free drink or two, boat rides, awards, a b-b-q, seminars, "The Arts at Navy Point" and boats from as far away as Florida, Connecticut, New York, PA, Del, VA, etc.

We are a very diverse chapter of the ACBS and do what interests us. And since we still have a founding chapter member as our Dock Master, I know that these traditions have been going on for a long time before I got there.

One boat under way at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in ST. Michaels, Maryland.

This boat and its maker/owner/operator is invited to the June 13, 14, and 15 Festival of Classic Boating by Chris (seabuddy) Brown, 518-281-0045.

We/ I expect "racers" like the boat in the prior post to come also.

Yes, that is a problem with a national, or even international organization. We know there is neat stuff, but is it within a reasonable drive? I have done two day drives to get to the stuff that knocks my socks off. The Sunnyland show is good, too, but again different from what the Chesapeake Bay Chapter does.

There are plans of a R/C racing course at this year's Festival. Both the scale speed boats and the very fast ones, too. Different additional groups are bringing their boats. As I understand it today, they will come from PA, Del, VA, N.C., NY, NJ and Maryland. I do not know about S. C. R/C folks yet.

from a prior show, coming back with something this year. The Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the ACBS has its own Award Classes as well as suggested "best practices" International ACBS award classes.

Not to take away from the other 55 clubs, but what boats and motors that come to our Festival is different from other chapter clubs and has been for years.

One needs to join a club that reflects one's interest, even if it is far away. We get boats from MI, Ct, Fl, PA, Del, NJ, NY, MD, Virginia and other states.

another boat from a past show. Choose not to be judged. Nice boat and outboard set-up. 1957 Campbell boat brand powered by a 25 HP Buc O/B, I believe.
