I love it when a plan comes together!
What happened to the Evinrude?

traded away my little bass boat hull for a 17ft smokercraft fishing boat . I kept the motor and seeing it runs good and was a quick drop on I figured I would give the Force a shot. I might leave it on and keep the Evinrude for the fishing boat. Have three other props to try out tomorrow, plan to play all day.

Hi hodgify, yes slowly but surely gathering parts, have decent donor boat for seats and steering, found a 71 Merc redline 50 hp that needed lower leg since previous owner froze and shattered it, found parts motor, will get her all together this winter on a thin budget lol costs: G3 $125, parts boat $25, Motor and parts motor $80,new trailer tires, motor parts, glass and resin, body and paint mat. $520. Will post pics as things come together Thanks for asking :)

That's great to hear . Out of all the toys I have had my G3 is the one that I wish I never gave up. Only have ever seen one other in my area but will always have an eye out . Good luck and keep taking pictures.

I see you are in Fort Erie, did you check with Nichols Marine to identify the boat? Looks good by the way and 42 with a 60 hp is good. You need a nice inline 6 merc on the back of that LOL.

I actually got the boat from Tim at Nichols Marine , he found it in a marina up north and was going to redo it but he could not find the time . This is actually about the 5th rebuilder boat I have gotten from him . The first was the glasspar G3 that the owner put a tower of power on it then ran it onto the rocks. This winters project came from Tim also , a 16.5 smokercraft fishing boat that I am totally striping and rebuilding.

I used to love going up to the second floor at Nichols and poke around, got lots of good stuff over the years. Its far too cleaned up now

By the way, the humber boat company has the humber jewel moulds from 2006 for sale along with the rights to make the humber jewel. Only 10 pulls from the moulds.

My favorite place to shop is the second floor, most of the parts on my little rebuild came from there, but not much up their now. Was there today and nothing new , seems he sells more new Legend boats and does not get as many old trades to take apart. Got the Smoker craft flipped over and started stripping paint ,also deriveted one rib to go to Port Marina to see if I can order a few new ribs. Not much of a Humber Jewel fan especially the square nose ones. I am going to start searching for a Glasspar G3 for my next winter project.
