In 1929 my father got his pilots license and barnstormed in an Alexander Eaglerock, that I understand was purchased from Leavens Bros. ( my father was 50 when I was born in 1958, in case you were struggling with the math!) He was quite familiar with the brothers, and took me to visit their operations when I was a kid. Too bad he had no interest in boats, never got to see that end of it.

Regarding the cut down windshield: when I first saw the Leavens Victor there was no windshield attached and it looked pretty good without it. The original windshield was broken but I realized that I could save the top portion of it and that it would help with the look that I had in mind for the boat. The graphics on the sides below the wings are reminiscent of the 57 Chev, again a classic car look that I am going for. They are vinyl graphics, high gloss chrome on brushed metal. Next will come the interior. That will be red and white based on an interior from a 64 T Bird. Stay tuned,
